Final payment:

Final payment is to arrive not later than 28days before your arrival date and this date is clearly noted on your confirmation letter.

Please note that charges are in Euros and you are advised to send a direct transfer by bank to bank for both deposit and final payments, acceptable only if full transfer charges are paid, banking details supplied on request.

Alternatively, a bankers draft but please note you must specify an International bankers draft, that it should be cashable in Paris and can take several working days to be prepared, needing to be ordered by your local branch from the head office.

Cancellations:

If for any reason you have to cancel your booked holidays please do contact me as soon as possible and I will endeavour to rebook the period. If you cancel your booking I reserve the right to withhold the full deposit paid, however if I am successful in rebooking the farmhouse then your deposit will be returned less any additional advertising costs. You may also try to rebook your own holiday under the same terms and conditions. If you cancel less than 28 days prior to your arrival you are liable to pay the full amount of your holiday, only in the event of a new booking would this be refunded and you are strongly advised to have insurance covering this eventuality.

LETTING PERIODS RUN STRICTLY FROM SUNDAY TO SUNDAY

You are requested not to arrive before 17.30pm and to depart by 9.00am to allow for sufficient change-over and cleaning procedures. Water, electricity and gas are included during main season rentals only, please note that during lower season rentals up to 15th June 2019 then from 8th September 2019, electricity and heating is not included and the meter will be read with charges at cost price, minus any pool filtration where applicable.

Were necessary wood for the fires in the lounge + kitchen can be available on supplement cost and in addition to this there are electric convectors throughout the farmhouse.

Linen can be supplied with supplements of 25euros per double bed and 18euros per single bed please do note which beds you would like made up where applicable. If you wish to bring your own linen the double beds each have a double size duvet and pillows (English) with a few extra blankets supplied. The two singles are French antique boat beds - basically large singles of 120cm, with a normal single in the middle bedroom.

Tea towels are provided but not swimming, bath or hand towels.

Dustbins/Breakages :-

A deposit of 200euros is charged and is to be added to you final figure - included with the final payment as with the linen, this is in order to guarantee correct re-cycling procedures are respected which are now obligatory within the department and clearance of rubbish.

Assuming no penalties or fines have been incurred for the dustbins, no damages to the alarm equipment + keys, remote control/TNT is still in place, no breakages

deductions or damaged/spoilt linen (where applicable) this deposit will be returned to you within 14days of your return.

A bank to bank transfer will be made minus local transfer fees.

You are strongly advised to take out a personal assurance for all of your party, personal belongings, travel, cancellations etc and an E111 is strongly recommended covering any medical problems.

The following booking conditions should be read carefully.

This constitutes a "contract' which shall be governed by French law in every particular including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in France. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought to court of competent jurisdiction in France

BOOKING CONDITIONS

1.The property situated at 'Le Noyer’ 10 rue des Anciennes Ecoles, HANC, 79110 Chef Boutonne, Deux-Sevres hereafter "the property" referred to as "Le Noyer" is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Mrs Ruth Reid hereafter "the owner" to the renter.

2.a):To reserve "the property", the "client" should complete and sign the booking form on behalf of all his party and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit of 25%,the "owner" will send confirmation letter and receipt. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.

b):Final payment must be made no later than 28days prior to arrival date and is highlighted in your confirmation letter.

3.In the event of a cancellation, refund of the deposit will only be paid if the "owner" is able to re-let the "property" successfully. In the event of cancellation less than 28 days prior to arrival no refund will be made unless the "property" is able to be re-let.

The client is strongly recommended to arrange a fully comprehensive travel insurance policy, including full cancellation cover, all personal belongings, public liability, hospitalisation, accidents, total health cover and repatriation etc. These are not covered by the "owners" insurance.

4.The rental period shall commence at 17.30pm on the first day and finish at 9.00am on the last day. The "owner" shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the "client" shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.

5.The maximum number to reside in the "property" must not exceed 10 persons at any time.

6.The "client" agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the "property" and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental agreement. The "client" also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those resident in neighbouring properties.

7.The "client" shall report to the "owner" without delay any defects in the "property" or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or appliances in the "property" garden or swimming pool and arrangements for repair and or replacement will be made as soon as is possible.

8.The "owner" shall not be liable to the "client":- a):for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the "property", nor in respect of any equipment ,plant, machinery or appliance in the "property" ,gardens or swimming pool: b):for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war or strikes or other matters beyond the control of the "owner".

c):for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the "client" if the "property" shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event the "owner" shall within seven days of notification to the "client", refund to the "client" all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. Travel costs non inclusive.

9.Under no circumstances shall the "owner" liability to the "client" exceed the amount paid to the "owner" for the rental period.

10.Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period e;g wood, linen, electricity and gas supplements or damages should be settled with the "owner" before departure.

11.Swimming pool:-

This is a danger zone for all young children and it is in the interests of all parents/ adults residing at the property to never leave children unattended around the pool area. Any safety devices in place are an aid to prevent the lose of life but there can be no substitute for adult supervision at all times.

At the end of the day, the life of a child cannot be replaced whether a swimming pool is considered to meet the current requirements or not but I as the owner have tried to make every effort to respect these regulations and maximize the safeness of the pool area for your pleasure and security.

The swimming pool is completely fenced off with a 1m20 high security fence and there is also an alarm fitted on the pool, which complies with regulations and the legal requirements, at your deposal for your use if you feel the need of it, full instructions are in the booklet at the farmhouse.

The keys for the entry gate is on your house keys and you are strongly advised to keep this gate closed at all times and padlocked overnight and on days out to maximise the benefit of this and help avoid any unwanted incidents.

I as the owner of the property cannot accept any responsibility for parental action or lack of, in this respect during residency at the property - remember nothing can substitute vigilance and it is without doubt the responsibility of the adults concerned to maintain an active surveillance of the pool area at all times.

12.Use of Public Funds:

I as the owner of the property reserve the right to cancel, at any point, any holiday booked and paid for with the use of Public Funds.

The booking form, signed by the head of the party, accepts these terms and booking conditions on behalf of himself and all members of his party residing at the property for the duration of his holiday.
